  • Delrin® 570 - 20% Glass-Filled Acetal
Delrin® 570, this grade has 20% glass fiber filler. It has much greater mechanical properties over unfilled acetals.

Delrin® Glass Filled provides the same basic properties as Delrin®, with added strength. Delrin® Glass Filled is a tough material that provides the added advantages of greater stiffness, improved creep resistance, low warpage and higher dimensional stability than Delrin® because it possesses surface characteristics of Teflon®. Parts designed using glass-filled will demonstrate good impact resistance, low deformation under load and high fatigue endurance. Delrin® Glass Filled is an excellent choice for its long-term mechanical stability in applications such as Anti-Friction Parts, Application Bearings, Gears and Parts requiring greater stiffness, Electrical Components and other Close Tolerance Precision Parts and Fuel System Parts.

  • Duragrid®
DURAGRID® custom grid or grating systems are designed to accommodate specific applications that cannot effectively be met by a standard fiberglass grating. DURAGRID® offers the customer options such as selection of open space, bar shape, cross-rod placement, custom fabrication, custom resin or color.
DURAGRID® Heavy Duty fiberglass grating is a pultruded bar type grating that can be designed and used like traditional metal grates. The solid individual bearing bars are designed to take heavy wheel traffic such as fork lifts, tow motors and truck traffic. Heavy duty grating is constructed of the same type composite used in the other DURAGRID® products.
DURAGRID® Phenolic Grating is a dramatic innovation for markets where fire safety is a major concern; offering superior resistance to flame and high temperature with low smoke and toxic fume emissions. The nonflammable nature of phenolics enable phenolic grating to withstand higher temperatures than polyester or vinyl ester for extended periods of time without major structural damage. Combined with low thermal conductivity, this provides fire protection not available with alternate materials. DURAGRID® Phenolic Grating is the first composite grating to receive U.S. Coast Guard approval! It is accepted for use in locations and applications as allowed in the U.S.C.G. Policy File Memorandum 2-98 for fire retardant grating meeting structural fire integrity Level 2(L2).

  • Duratron® CU60 PBI
Duratron® CU60 PBI (aka Celazole® PBI) is the highest performance engineering thermoplastic available today. It offers the highest heat resistance and mechanical property retention over 4007deg;F of any unfilled plastic. It has better wear resistance and load carrying capabilities at extreme temperatures than any other reinforced or unreinforced engineering plastic.

As an unreinforced material, Duratron CU60 PBI is very "clean" in terms of ionic impurity and it does not outgas (except water). These characteristics make this material very attractive to semiconductor manufacturers for vacuum chamber applications. Duratron CU60 PBI has excellent ultrasonic transparency which makes it an ideal choice for parts such as probe tip lenses in ultrasonic measuring equipment.

Duratron CU60 PBI is also an excellent thermal insulator. Other plastics in melt do not stick to Duratron CU60 PBI. These characteristics make it ideal for contact seals and insulator bushings in plastic production and molding equipment.

      Applications:
High Heat Insulator Bushings - Bushings used in hot runner plastic injection molds made of Duratron CU60 PBI allow the plastic being molded to remain in melt as the part "freezes" in the cool mold. Bushings last longer and ease clean up since hot molten plastics do not stick to Duratron CU60 PBI.
Electrical Connectors - For an extra margin of safety, an aircraft engine manufacturer replaced connectors exposed to temperatures over 400°F (205°C) with Duratron CU60 PBI.
Ball Valve Seats - Seats manufactured from Duratron CU60 PBI excel in high temperature fluid handling service.

  • Durostone® CFR767
      Durostone® CFR767 for harsh environments
A combination of flux, temperature & process cycles can result in the degradation fo the standard Durostone grades of material.

The solution is Durostone® CFR767 which has been specifically formulated for use with agressive fluxes and high process temperatures.

The resin used to produce Durostone CFR767 can withstand temperatures up to 300 C. The decision to use Durostone CFR767 over one of the standard grades is made when the solder bath temperature exceeds 265 C and the bottom side PCB preheat exceeds 140 C.

Durostone CFR767 has excellent flux resistance. When fluxes containing halides or dicarboxylic acids are used in high volume production, the lifespan of the standard grades of material can be reduced so Durostone CFR767 is the ideal solution.

  • Fiberglass Grating
Fiberglass Grating is available in Molded, Pultruded, and Phenolic Grating. Compared to traditional steel or aluminum grating, fiberglass is light weight, non-conductive, corrosion resistant, fire retardant, and slip resistant. Constructed from fiberglass reinforced plastic (FRP), FRP is used in hundreds of commercial, industrial and residential applications, including platforms, handrails, decks, catwalks, and more. Look for pultruded and molded grating in the most popular sizes and configurations. Its cost is similar to that of steel.

      Molded Grating:
Molded Grating is constructed in one-piece, using reinforced polyester or vinyl ester resin and continuous interwoven fiberglass strand. This gives it multi-directional strength and allows for fabrication such as holes, cut-outs, without losing any structural integrity. It's used for flooring systems, walkways, trenches, platforms, stairs and much more. Customers can choose from a variety of sizes, such as 4 ft x 12 ft, 4 ft x 8 ft, 3 ft x 10 ft, 5 ft x 10 ft and thicknesses such as 1", 1-1/2", 2". Molded grating is easy to fabricate. You can custom fabricate or we can fabricate panels to size for you.

Pultruded Grating Pultruded Grating is ideal for longer spans and slightly lower in cost than Molded Grating. Its high load bearing strength makes it uniquely popular for spanning long distances. Pultruded grating uses a two part locking cross rod and features powerful uni-directional strength. The individual bars are made of glass roving and glass mat which gives it its strength. A surfacing veil provides high corrosion resistance. Used for flooring systems, walkways, trenches and platforms, customers can choose from a variety of sizes such as 3 ft, 4 ft or 5 ft wide by 8 ft, 10 ft, or 20 ft lengths. Standard thicknesses are 1", 1-1/2", and 2", I bar or T bar are available.
