Halar® Sheets & Halar® Rods (ECTFE) from Professional Plastics. Halar® 901 and Halar® 902 ECTFE Sheets and Rods - Halar ECTFE is a partially fluorinated semi-crystalline polymer offering a unique combination of mechanical properties, thermal and chemical resistance with an outstanding ease of processability. Halar ECTFE, a copolymer of ethylene and chlorotrifluoroethylene, can bring advantages to the end user when compared to other fluoropolymers. It is a very versatile polymer, available in all forms to meet processing needs. Halar offers excellent resistance to abrasion, harsh chemicals, and permeation.
Halar® ECTFE is typically stocked in USA, Singapore & Taiwan warehouses, but due to current supply constraints, many suppliers have this resin on limited allocation.

PerFluoroAlkoxy (PFA) offers similar properties to FEP, but PFA is preferred when extended service is required in hostile environments involving chemical, thermal, and mechanical stress. PFA offers high melt strength, stability at high processing temperatures, excellent crack and stress resistance, a low coefficient of friction, and more than 10 times the Flex life of FEP. It has high resistance to creep and retention of properties after service at 500°F (260°C), with useful properties at -320°F (95°C). PFA also meets FDA 21CFR.177.1550.

Translucent Grade silicone sheeting can be used in a variety of applications. Silicone exhibits a wish list of characteristics including superb chemical resistance, high temperature performance, good thermal and electrical resistance, long-term resiliency, and easy fabrication. It also possesses excellent UV and ozone resistance. This material is low volatile, peroxide free and does not discolor over time Silicone is odorless, tasteless, chemically inert and non-toxic. It offers all FDA approved ingredients, low compression set and fungus resistance.
Common Applications:
Silicone rubber can be used for insulating and cushioning electronic assemblies. It is also used for burn victims to keep bacteria out, LCD displays, sensors for lasers and assemblies, gaskets, automotive seals and hoses, shaft sealing rings, spark plug caps, vibration and sound damping, industrial rollers, press pads, thermal shielding, food and cosmetic services, heat sealing and packaging and grommets.

Symalit® ECTFE Halar® Sheet
Symalit® ECTFE (Halar® )Sheet is available from Professional Plastics. This high-performance ECTFE (ethylene-chlorotrifluoro-ethylene) sheet offers a unique balance of high purity, mechanical, thermal, and chemical resistance. The new material can be machined easily, thermoformed, and is melt-weldable. It is manufactured from the well-known Halar® resin formulation.
Potential applications for Symalit ® ECTFE sheet include: high-purity fluid handling equipment, chemical storage equipment, and fire-safe semiconductor processing equipment.
Symalit ® ECTFE sheet is the latest addition to MCAM-Quadrant EPP's family of fire-resistant fluoropolymer sheet materials, which includes Symalit ® PVDF. Symalit ® PVDF, manufactured from Kynar ® resin also meets FM 4910 and offers a better surface and more consistent color than competing materials.

Boltaron® 1050 PVC Sheet Type 1 - PVC Sheet for Fabricating, Machining, Forming
Ultra-high quality, corrosion resistant, fire-rated sheet up to 4 in. (102 mm) thick in gray, white and black for fabricating, machining and thermoforming applications. Boltaron 1050 sheet is a monolithic Type 1 PVC sheet that is free of pits, voids and inclusions, and not subject to delamination associated with competitive heavy gauge sheet. It is inert to harsh chemicals across the entire pH range, making it suitable for applications in which acids and caustics are handled. Since it does not ionize like stainless steel and high alloys, it is also ideal for applications involving ultrapure water, reagent-grade chemicals or other contamination-sensitive products.
- Boltaron 1050 sheet is offered in lengths to 96 in. (2438 mm), widths to 48 in. (1219 mm) and thicknesses from .032 to 4 in. (0.81 to 102 mm).
- Smooth on both sides, it is available from stock in dark gray (no minimums), and in white and black (low minimums).
- It is also available in custom colors, custom textures and custom sizes, and/or with poly masking (low minimums).
- The sheet carries a UL 94 V-0 fire rating and conforms to ASTM D-1784 standards, conforming to a wide range of application requirements.
Boltaron 1050 is readily sawn, drilled, tapped, routed and otherwise machined using conventional tools, and can be brake formed (thinner gauges), heat welded, adhesive bonded and mechanically fastened, allowing rapid fabrication of a broad range of high-integrity parts and assemblies.
