FEP Shrink Tubing 1.3:1 & 1.6:1
FEP heat shrink tubing is a common alternative to PTFE, with similar electrical and friction properties and chemical resistance. FEP heat shrinkable tubing conforms to Mil-I-23053/11, and UL 94 (V0, VW-1), and is suitable for continuous use at temperatures up to 204°C.
FEP heat shrink tubing is used in cases where temperatures are not as extreme, and very high shrink ratios are not necessary. It is also widely used when components cannot handle the extreme shrink temperature of PTFE. It is available in 1.6:1 and 1.3:1 varieties, shrinks at around 190-210°C, and has found widespread use and appeal.

Owing to its smooth, non-porous inner bore, Tygon S3 B-44-5X IB is virtually taste and odor-free. It also offers outstanding resistance to harsh alkaline cleaners and is unaffected by commonly used sanitizers.
Moreover, Tygon S3 B-44-5X IB resists particle entrapment and resulting bacterial growth. And its excellent non-wetting properties facilitate complete drainage and increase the overall effectiveness of cleaning, making it the ideal choice in food, beverage, dairy, and other bacterial-sensitive applications.
And given itΓÇ™s able to withstand up to four times the pressure of non-reinforced tubing and its improved flexibility at sub-zero temperatures, typical applications for Tygon S3 B-44-5X IB include: water lines for beverage dispensing equipment, ice cream dispensing equipment, and frozen beverage dispensing machines (smoothies, shakes, and slushies).

NYLOTUBE® Nylon Tubing is offered in two formulations: Nylon-11 and Nylon-12.
While both types exhibit similar physical properties and performance, nylon-11 is available in a food grade version made of FDA-approved materials (semi-rigid style, natural color). Nylon-12 is typically used in various industrial applications and is somewhat less expensive than Nylon-11. Nylon's elastic memory is exceptional and can withstand repeated flexing over a long period of time without fatigue or fracture. This makes it a popular choice for retractable coils. Techtron® PPS CMP Retaining rings used in CMP machines utilize high-purity & long-wearing Techtron PPS.
PPS Retaining rings that hold 300 mm semiconductor wafers during chemical mechanical planarization (CMP) must withstand repeated exposure to harsh chemicals and abrasives. One way that semiconductor fabricators gain the stiffness, purity and toughness needed in CMP rings is to use rings machined from Techtron® PPS. These shapes are made from a proprietary grade of Fortron® polyphenylene sulfide (PPS).
Techtron® PPS shapes extend ring life significantly compared to acetal, polyester and generic PPS. Process experience shows that rings made from Techtron® PPS stock shapes withstand 2,000 to 5,000 CMP cycles compared to 1,000 to 2,000 cycles for rings made of these other generic PPS materials.
In CMP, a layer of silicon dioxide, aluminum, copper or other material on a semiconductor wafer is polished to an exacting flatness before circuitry is etched on it. The slurry used varies in abrasiveness and pH depending on the surface material. During CMP, a polishing pad rotates against a wafer mounted on a ceramic base and held in a retaining ring. In addition to withstanding the polishing compound, the ring must be dimensionally stable and cannot flex during polishing.
Techtron® PPS blanks are 12- to 24-in.-long tubes that are machined into retaining rings varying in height from 0.33 to 1.0 in. The 12-inch-diameter rings (I.D.) used with 300 mm wafers have wall thicknesses of 0.375 to 2.5 in. The Techtron® PPS used for ring blanks is a high-toughness grade that reduces chipping and breaking and has a tensile elongation of up to 25 percent.

- Tygon® A60G - Black Color - Industrial Grade, -75° F (-60° C) to 275° F (135° C), Exhibits extremely high flexural fatigue characteristics, excellent chemical resistance and an ability to handle a wide temperature range. An all-around top performer for numerous industrial peristaltic pump applications.
- Tygon Chemical Tubing - Tan Co-Extruded - High performance Co-Extruded product with ideal combination of chemical resistance and pump life. Inert ultra-smooth plasticizer-free bore resists the absorption/adsorption of aqueous fluids while the Tygon Norprene outer jacket provides long flex life in peristaltic pumps. Tygon Chemical Tubing is an excellent choice for sensitive fluid transfer applications. NSF 51, FDA and EU Food Contact approved.

PTFE it is a fluorocarbon-based polymer that exhibits astonishing chemical resistance and ultra high-purity. Self-lubricating and with a low friction coefficient, PTFE (polytetrafluoroethylene) sheets and rods are ideally suited for the manufacture of high-temperature seals, insulators and bearings used in semiconductor, aerospace & chemical processing industries.
PTFE's mechanical properties are low compared to other plastics, and can be used over a wide temperature range of -100°F to +400°F (-73°C to 204°C). ). It has excellent thermal and electrical insulation properties and a low coefficient of friction. PTFE is very dense and cannot be processed by melting. PTFE must be compressed and sintered to form useful shapes.
