Military Specification rubber is also known as Mil Spec Rubber. The products on this page are Mil Spec Neoprene. Mil Spec neoprene is noted mostly for its resistance to oil. Mil Spec MIL R 6855 is a very common specification for Oil resistant neoprene suited for most military applications. The Neoprene rubber listed below is per Military Specification MIL R 6855 E Type 2 which has been replaced with SAE-AMS-R-6855. The Military Grade MIL R 6855 is still well known and can be used in oily and petroleum based applications. Military Grade Neoprene rubber is certified to MIL Spec mil r 6855 or sae ams r 6855. Best used in application where oil is present, garages, fender wells, floors in oily or gas dripping places, tanks, vessels, fueling stations, truck beds, under tanks for transport and shock absorption, between petroleum carrying units as a buffer, helicopter maintenance, engine cowls, machine shops, weapons repair table and workstations. Nylon - CAST Nylon 6, UNFILLED
Cast Nylon Sheets, Nylon Rods and Nylon Tubes are available in a wide range of sizes & grades. Their flexibility and performance characteristics have led to Nylons replacing bronze, brass, steel, and aluminum in various mechanical applications.

Nylon SL - Cast
Nylon SL offers a very low coefficient of friction with superior wear resistance. Nylon SL is used for complex applications where external lubrication is difficult or impossible. Also providing in excess of 5 times longer part life than other lubricated materials. Nylon SL offers significant savings in machine maintenance and down time costs. As well, it provides added assurance of part life in friction applications where other cast nylons may fail.

Fluorosint® 500
Fluorosint® 500 has nine times greater resistance to deformation under load than unfilled PTFE. Its coefficient of linear thermal expansion approaches the expansion rate of aluminum, and is 1/5 that of PTFE — often eliminating fit and clearance problems. It is 1/3 harder than PTFE, has better wear characteristics and maintains low frictional properties. Fluorosint® 500 is also non-abrasive to most mating materials.

Fluran® F-5500A
FLURAN® Severe Environment Tubing
- Formulation F-5500-A
Made of a proprietary fluoroelastomer, Fluran® Severe Environment Tubing has both the physical and chemical characteristics that make it ideal for severe environments, such as dry cleaning fluid lines and solvent recovery systems, where other flexible tubings fail. Fluran® Severe Environment Tubing can be used in continuous service with temperatures as high as 400°F (204°C) and has excellent resistance to corrosive chemicals, oils, fuels, solvents and most mineral acids.
This opaque, black tubing helps protect light-sensitive materials being transferred and will not prematurely crack and age when exposed to ozone, sun and weather. It is highly flexible and resilient, making it the ideal choice in peristaltic pumping of extremely corrosive materials. A food grade formulation is available upon request.

Chemfluor® PVDF Pipe
Chemfluor® PVDF is manufactured from Kynar®* 740, an engineering thermoplastic that offers the stable characteristics of a fluoropolymer, as well as mechanical strength, abrasion resistance and high purity. Chemfluor® PVDF also offers excellent chemical resistance, UV radiation resistance and low permeability. These shapes are stocked in rigid material, but are available in other resins on a custom basis. Chemfluor® PVDF can be used in the semiconductor, pulp and paper, and pharmaceutical industries, as well as for nuclear waste, and chemical and food processing. Chemfluor® PVDF meets ASTM standard D3222.

Silbrade® Braid Reinforced Silicone Hose
The construction of SILBRADE enables silicone tubing to handle increased pressure applications. SILBRADE offers outstanding resistance to temperature extremes and is made from FDA-sanctioned ingredients. The flexible design and construction of SILBRADE allows excellent bend radii and permits installation in restricted spaces without impeding flow. SILBRADE, a peroxide-cured product, contains no sulphur or other acid-producing chemicals thereby eliminating the possibility of staining, corroding, or deteriorating other materials it contacts. It is also resistant to ozone and U.V. over long time periods.
Care is recommended in the selection of fittings and clamps, as sharp barbed fittings or unlined metal clamps could tear into the hose wall and possibly cause a failure, especially at elevated pressures.
- SILBRADE is not recommended for implantable or in-body uses or for continuous steam applications.
SILBRADE may be low pressure steam sterilized in-line or autoclaved at up to 250°F in a normal autoclaving cycle. However, if exposed to repeated steam sterilization or long-term high temperature or pressure, silicone will eventually relax and become gummy. It should then be replaced

Fluorosint® 207
Fluorosint® 207's unmatched dimensional stability, excellent creep resistance and white color uniquely position this material to serve FDA regulated applications. It is non-permeable in steam and complies with the FDA's regulation 21 CFR 175.300. Its relative wear rate is 1/20 the rate of PTFE below 300°F (150°C) making it an excellent choice for aggressive service bearings and bushings.

FEP Roll Covers (1.25/1)
FEP Roll covers commonly used as pressure roll and fuser rolls in medium and high volume printers and copiers provide excellent reliability and bondability on rubber and foam rollers while extending wear life & increasing copier/printer speed.
FEP Roll Covers provide improved image resolution & paper handling. FEP also provides excellent bondability to metal, rubber and foam substrates.
FEP Roll Covers eliminate sticky build-up problems with rollers used in hot or cold applications. The sleeve can be applied to metal or rubber rollers using simple hot air gun. Down time to machine can be just minutes compared with days sending rollers away for sprayed non-stick coating. Thickness of FEP is normally 0.5mm compared with 0.005mm of a spayed on PTFE coating, and the cost is about the same or even less.

MC 901 Heat Stabilized Nylon
MC 901 (Nylatron MC901) Heat stabilized nylon offering long-term thermal stability to 260ºF. It is blue in color and used in a variety of bearing and structural applications such as wheels, gears, and custom parts.
MC 901 has a better impact strength and fatigue resistance compared with other cast nylons in the range. It has proved an outstanding material for large gears, racks & pinions, successfully replacing phosphororous bronze and cast iron in many applications.

Nycast® XHA-BLUE - Heat Stabilized
NYCAST® XHA-BLUE has a heat stabilizer that retards the loss of physical properties as temperature increases. This allows the material to function at approximately 10% higher temperatures than standard grades; meaning NYCAST XHA operating at 200° F will have approximately the same physical properties as a standard grade operating at 185° F. Maximum intermittent temperature for NYCAST XHA is 330° F and continuous operating temperature is 250° F (compared to 230° F for standard grades).

Nyloil® FG (Food Grade) (Natural Color)
NYLOIL-FG is a self lubricating nylon bearing material which meets the provisions of FDA Regulations 21 CFR, Section 177.15 (and others) and USDA 3A Sanitary Standards 20-17 for direct contact with food. This is a particularly useful material where additional lubrication is not desirable because of cleanability, contamination, or other considerations. Nyloil FG Natural is an oil-filled nylon in Natural Color (off-white).

Nylon®, Oil-Filled - Green (Generic)
Oil-Filled Nylon (green Color): - A special formulation of Liquid Lubricant encapsulated during manufacture, provides for true lubrication at the bearing surface. It is offered for applications where maintenance lubrication is difficult or impossible. Oil-filled Nylon also, limits moisture adsorption, making it an ideal bearing material for submerged or critical tolerance applications.
