SUSTARIN® C MDT is a solution to many food processing and packaging applications. Most of the food products that we consume every day come into contact with different machines during the
manufacturing and packaging processes. If just a small part or component from
any one of those machines finds its way into the food there can be serious health
risks.
SUSTARIN® C MDT has special additives that allow it to be traced by standard
metal detectors and removed before causing further contamination. Quality
assurance engineers at some of the largest food processing manufacturers in the
country have already tested this product and found it to be highly effective.
The important mechanical, thermal and chemical resistance properties remain
unchanged in comparison to standard acetal. This engineering plastic is easily
machined and has excellent dimensional stability for close tolerance parts.
SUSTARIN® C MDT complies with FDA regulations concerning direct contact
with food and is offered in rods from 1/4" to 8" diameter and sheets from 3/8" to
4" thick in a brilliant blue color.

Titanium
Titanium is absolutely immune to environmental attack, regardless of pollutants. Where other metals exhibit limited lifespan, titanium endures. The specific gravity of titanium is 4.51 g /cm3 - about 60% that of steel, half that of copper and 1.7 times that of aluminum. In addition to having excellent mechanical strength (comparable to mild steel), titanium is durable and shock resistant. Its modulus of elasticity (a measure of strain rate) is half that of stainless steel. Titanium is available from Professional Plastics locations in USA, Singapore & Taiwan.

Pure Ti is used due to its high corrosion resistance and alloyed because of its high strength to weight ratio

Tuffak® Lumen XT, extruded sheet product was developed specifically as a diffusion lens for LED lighting. Pure tungsten is a steel-gray to tin-white metal. Tungsten has the highest melting point and lowest vapour pressure, and at temperatures over 1650 C has the highest tensile strength. The metal oxidises in air and must be protected at elevated temperatures. Tungsten, also known as wolfram, is a chemical element that has the symbol W and atomic number 74.
A steel-gray metal, tungsten is found in several ores, including wolframite and scheelite. It is remarkable for its robust physical properties, especially the fact that it has the highest melting point of all the non-alloyed metals and the second highest of all the elements after carbon. Tungsten is often brittle and hard to work in its raw state; however, if pure, it can be cut with a hacksaw. The pure form is used mainly in electrical applications, but its many compounds and alloys are used in many applications, most notably in light bulb filaments, X-ray tubes (as both the filament and target), and superalloys. Tungsten is also the only metal from the third transition series that is known to occur in biomolecules
In its raw form, tungsten is a steel-gray metal that is often brittle and hard to work. But, if pure, it can be worked easily.[3] It is worked by forging, drawing, extruding, or sintering. Of all metals in pure form, tungsten has the highest melting point (3,422 °C, 6,192 °F), lowest vapor pressure and (at temperatures above 1,650 °C) the highest tensile strength.[7] Tungsten has the lowest coefficient of thermal expansion of any pure metal. Alloying small quantities of tungsten with steel greatly increases its toughness.

Waylock® Adhesive
Waylock® Adhesive is made by Trelleborg with a proprietary formula and tested to be used with Turcite® B Slydway linear bearing material.
Waylock® Adhesive is Sold in Two Forms:
- Waylock II (2 part epoxy adhesive) which is specifically formulated for bonding Turcite B® to metal surfaces
- Waylock EZ which is the same as Waylock II but in an easy-to-use cartridge system designed for use with our applicator guns.
Waylock® adhesive has been tested extensively with Turcite B, but will also work with other competitors' bearing materials such as Rulon 142. Its special formula provides the proper bond strength when applied as directed and can withstand common lube oils and machine coolants. Waylock adhesive is a high quality epoxy and can be used in other applications, i.e. we use it for some machine anchoring systems as well as way plugs on occasion.

Acrylite® GP P95 (aka Acrylic P95) is patterned on one side of the sheet. This added texture provides decorative effects and diffuses annoying surface reflections. The matte finish is available on one side only. Professional Plastics preferred brand is Acrylite® P95. ACRYLITE GP P-95 sheet offers transparent clarity when in direct contact with objects. Ideal for signs and displays, its one-sided matte finish reduces reflected light. This cell cast sheet comes in colorless, translucent, and custom colors. This products is also available in "Black/White" Acrylite GP P-95 which appears dark by day and, with a little backlighting, it glows white at night.
