Mechetec® Acetal (polyoxy-methylene) offers design engineers a superior blend of strength, stiffness, lubricity, and dimensional stability. These properties, along with inherent machining ease, have made Mechetec one of the most widely used engineering grade thermoplastics.

Meldin 6000 Series Overview
Meldin 6000 Series Polyimide (PI) is a family of polymers that have excellent retention of mechanical and physical properties at high temperatures due to the addition of aromatic raw materials and the building blocks of polyimides. They have excellent resistance to high energy radiation and most chemicals. Not recommended for steam or hot water applications. Meldin 6000 series is designed to replace other polyimides (including Meldin 2001), as well as, metals, ceramics, and plastic parts, Meldin® polyimide retains a large percentage of its critical properties from cryogenic to 600° F continuous and 900° F intermittent. Different grades are available.
Meldin 6000 Series Grades:
Meldin 6001- An unfilled grade that replaced Meldin 2001 which has been discontinued. It is an economical pseudo-thermoplastic grade of polyimide. Black in Color
Meldin 6021- A 15% Graphite-Filled grade that was introduced before Meldin 2021.It is a pseudo-thermoplastic grade of polyimide. It costs less than 2021. In addition,the properties are a little lower than 2001. Black in Color
Meldin 6030 contains 30% PTFE filler and is a pseudo-thermoplastic material that costs a little less than the 2030. In addition, the properties are a little lower than the 2030 as well. Chocolate Brown in Color

PEEK Adhesive Tape
PEEK Tape with Adhesive Backing - PEEK adhesive tape, is a super-tough material providing the best combination of friction and wear properties combined with high temperature resistance,chemical resistance and excellent electrical insulation. It is ideal for use in a broad range of applications including gaskets, aerospace components, high performance labels, solder masking, oil field equipment, semiconductor processing equipment and more. PEEK tape provides engineers and designers with an excellent alternative to both PTFE (polytetrafluoroethylene) and PI (polyimide) tape. When compared to PTFE tape, VICTREX PEEK tape exhibits much higher tensile strength, is a tougher, stronger material with better wear performance in aggressiveconditions, and has a lower density. When compared to PI tape, VICTREX PEEK tape has lower moisture absorption, better performance in strong alkaline environments, and higher tear strength. PEEK tape can withstand continuous operating temperatures of up to 220°C (428°F) and even higher temperatures for short durations. It resists wear over a wide range of pressure, velocity, temperature and counterfacial roughness. Hydrolytically stable, PEEK tape maintains its electrical properties over a wide frequency and temperature range, and can withstand over 109 rads of radiation exposure without embrittlement. In addition, it has excellent chemical resistance to solvents, acids, bases, fuels, and hydrocarbons even at elevated temperatures. PEEK tape is able to meet a variety of aerospace, automotive, food/water, medical/pharmaceutical, and military/nuclear approvals and standards.

PEEK Capillary Tubing
PEEK capillary tubing is designed specifically for the demands of high pressure chromatography (HPLC). More corrosion resistant than stainless steel, PEEK is strong enough to take the pressure of 5,000 psi. PEEK has nearly the heat reisstance and chemical resistance of PTFE, but it is also structurally strong and abrasion resistant. It does not leach, and it is unaffected by continuous exposure to steam.

PFA Film
PFA films benefit from the ability to be thermoformed, heat-sealed, plastic-welded or bonded. PFA film is very similar to FEP, except its melting point (302° C to 310° C vs. FEP's melt range of 260° C to 280° C).PTFE is the most inert of all plastics and complies with US FDA regulations for safe use with food. FEP and PFA films possess superior anti-stick, low friction properties, as well as high dielectric strength (over 7000 volts per mil for 1 mil). No electrical tracking, non-wettable (hydrophobic), non-flammable, non-charring. We are proud to offer superior reliability & retention of properties over large areas of these films. This film is also available with adhesive for ease of installation in our tape section.

PFA Tubing
PFA Tubing from Professional Plastics. PFA (PerFluoroAlkoxy) tubing offers similar properties to FEP, but is considered more of a premium resin. PFA Tubing is preferred when extended service is required in hostile environments involving chemical, thermal, and mechanical stress. PFA tubing offers high melt strength, stability at high processing temperatures, excellent crack and stress resistance, a low coefficient of friction, and more than 10 times the Flex life of FEP. It has high resistance to creep and retention of properties after service at 500°F (260°C), with useful properties at -320°F (95°C). PFA tubing also meets FDA 21CFR.177.1550.
