OVERVIEW of Ketron® MD PEEK - Metal Detectable

Ketron® MD PEEK - Metal Detectable PEEK for Food Process and Packaging Equipment. This PEEK metal detectable material is best suited for applications where high line speeds require good wear resistance, or where operating temperatures in use are higher than 130° C. Is is a good material solution for machine parts which undergo multiple sterilization, mainly in equipment with CIP (cleaning in place) or SIP (sterilization in place).

Filling pistons - Manifolds - Valves - Scrapers in cookers and high temperature mixers - Hot oil applications in fryers and ovens - Thrust washers - Guiders - Bushings

FEATURES AND BENEFITS of Ketron® MD PEEK - Metal Detectable

Used in applications where high line speeds require good wear resistance or where operating temperatures in use are higher than 130°C (266°F). For multiple sterilizable machine parts, mainly in equipment with CIP or SIP (sterilization in place).

The Ketron PEEK family of materials is based on polyetheretherketone resin. This semi-crystalline advanced material exhibits a unique combination of high mechanical properties, temperature resistance and excellent chemical resistance making it the most popular advanced plastics material.
