Platinum Cured Medical Grade Silicone Tubing - SILCON® MED-X Tubing
SILCON MED-X tubing is made under strict accordance with Good Manufacturing Procedures and conforms to the biocompatibility requirements of USP Class VI. SILCON MED-X's surface properties resist sticking and encrustation, and it will not support bacteria growth. The tubing is soft, pliable, and contains no plasticizers which could leach out, causing flow contamination or tube hardening. Other sizes and 50A durometer material are also available. - SILCON MED-X is NOT recommended for implantable or in-body uses or for continuous steam applications.
Care is recommended in the selection and application of fittings and clamps as sharp barbed fittings or unlined metal clamps could tear into the wall.
- If exposed to repeated steam sterilization or long-term high temperature or pressure, silicone will eventually relax and become gummy. It should then be replaced.
- SILCON MED-X is supplied in individual, heat-sealed polybags and should be sterilized prior to use.

Tygon® ND 100-65 Medical Tubing
Tygon ND-100-65, one of the medical industry's first non-DEHP tubing offerings, has been formulated specifically to meet the demanding challenges of applications such as dialysis, chemotherapy drug delivery and minimally invasive surgeries. Tygon ND-100-65 is a DEHP-free replacement for Tygon S-50-HL Medical Tubing.
Characteristics:
From open heart surgery to dialysis, ND 100-65 tubing has been specially formulated for medical
device manufacturers that require a non-DEHP plasticized material. ND 100-65 sets the new
standard for performance and durability in blood contact applications.
Based upon a unique chemistry developed by Saint-Gobain, TYGON ND Series tubing was formulated
to be Registration, Evaluation, Authorization and restriction of CHemical substances (REACH)
compliant for DEHP. To ensure compliance, every individual compound lot is tested to ensure
DEHP levels are <1000 ppm. During the extrusion process, individual product dimensions are
maintained and monitored through in-line micrometers and off-line verification with
computerized imaging equipment.
Consistent with many medical tubing requirements, ND-100-65 material can be effectively
bonded/welded using the following methods: heat, electronic (RF)/ultrasonic, solvent and adhesive.
Factors to be considered when selecting the components include: security of the bond required,
effect on the integrity of the materials to be joined and presence of residues or
extractables that may affect biocompatibility. When bonding procedures are not used,
mechanical clamps are recommended to provide secure attachment.
Biocompatibility
TYGON ND 100-65 is made from a biocompatible non-DEHP polymer material developed
specifically for blood contact medical device needs. It meets USP Class VI, ISO 10993, European
Pharmacopoeia 3.1.1.2 and European REACH requirements. It is also non-hemolytic and
non-pyrogenic.

Acetron® GP FDA Colors
Acetron® GP FDA Colors is a new FDA-Compliant Colored Acetal. Improved process technology now allows MCAM-Quadrant Engineering Plastic Products to offer seven standard FDA-compliant colors of Acetron® GP acetal rod in small quantities and drastically-reduced lead times.
The new capability in colored stock shapes for machining overcomes the historical two to three months' lead time and high minimum order volume requirements due to resin and shapes production limitations. All of the new Acetron® GP colors meet the requirements of FDA Regulation 21 CFR, Section 177.2470 (e)(1),(2).
The colors are ideal where change-out parts need to be quickly and easily identified for use on specific processes.
MCAM-Quadrant's Acetron® GP, in red, blue, green, yellow, orange, gray and brown, is available within 3-4 weeks from date of order, in quantities of about 200 lbs per size and color, depending on diameter. Sample discs are available for specification purposes.

King Plasti-Shield® Borated Polyethylene (5% Borated Purple Color)
King Plasti-Shield® has been used as medical and industrial neutron shielding for more than 25 years. It is a light-weight, cost-effective and easily fabricated solution for a wide variety of neutron-shielding needs. Compared to paraffin-based products, King Plasti-Shield sheets are durable and perform well in a wider range of temperatures.

CAB - Cellulose Acetate Butyrate is available from Professional Plastics in both Tubes & Sheets
CAB Tubing combines optical clarity and scuff and impact resistance with ease of fabrication. It can be easily cut, bonded with cement and printed. TPI's CAB is UL rated. CAB tubing is ideal in any length for storage, packaging and shipping. Tubes are transparent and rigid with excellent dimensional stability and rigid with excellent dimensional stability and high impact strength. They are strong, durable and easy to fabricate. It can be cut and sawed with standard equipment and is ideally suited for plastic packaging and tubing, especially for scientific products. CAB is available in FDA approved formulations for medical and food related uses. Stock sizes range from 1/16" I.D. to 6" O.D. and up to 8" O.D. on custom orders in a variety of wall thickness.
CAB Sheet is used for high gloss vacuum formed faces in back lighted signs, especially small point of purchase signs. Designers of display units especially like CAB sheet for its deep-draw properties, ease of formability, and impact resistance. CAB Sheet is a highly impact-resistant plastic used for thermoforming a variety of OEM products for various applications. It qualifies as a Type I, Grade I material for Fabricating and Forming per ASTM D2411-69. Combining long-term weather resistance with clarity and ease of forming at a wide range of temperatures. It is adaptable to most conventional methods of heating and forming. It will form satisfactorily at temperatures ranging from about 230°F to about 320°F. It heats and cools considerably faster than most other plastic sheet used for forming outdoor components.

Coiltef™ Coiled FEP Tubing
Coiltef™ Coiled FEP Tubing - Almost totally inert, COILTEF can be used with all industrial solvents, chemicals, and corrosive materials even at elevated temperatures. It does, however, react with fluorine, molten sodium hydroxide, and molten alkali metals. Fluoropolymer's non-stick property allows transport of viscous, sticky material without line clogging. It also offers outstanding aging resistance. COILTEF is manufactured through a fabrication process which heat sets the coils. The coils should remain stable up to 200° F. At higher temperatures the coils will begin to relax and lose their set. If the application involves elevated temperatures, in-house testing is recommended. COILTEF may be steam or chemically sterilized in-line with any industrial cleaner, solvent, or sterilizing method. Care should be taken with steam sterilization of COILTEF to prevent coil relaxation. Testing is recommended. COILTEF can be manufactured from .085" to 1/2" tubing ID. The coil diameter can be produced from 3/4" OD to 4" OD.
