Varglas A397 & 343 Acrylic Sleeve (Gr F 155°C)
Varglas A397 and 343 Acrylic Sleevings (Grade F 155°C) are produced by curing a modified acrylic resin on a continuous fiberglass braid, with A397 Acrylic best characterized by its flexibility. Both are resistant to most acids, organic solvents, oils and water and exhibit fair resistance to alkalies. They are compatible with modified polyester, acrylic, epoxy, phenolic and formvar wire enamels and are designed to perform for long periods in a 155°C range without loss of any electrical or physical properties.
Specifications
Both Varglas A397 and 343 Acrylic Sleevings conform to, and are listed on the Qualified Products List (QPL) for, MIL-l-3190/3, latest revision (Grade A); NEMA TF-l, Type 6; and ASTM- D372.Under the Component Program of Underwriters Laboratories, both Varglas A397 and 343 Acrylic Sleevings in Grade A are recognized for 155°C, 600 volt service under UL File #E63450. CSA International certifies the use of both sleevings in Grade A for 155°C, 600 volt service under CSA File #LR58486. They also are recognized in systems work, per UL Safety Standard 1446, to facilitate product acceptance by UL. Additionally, Grade C-3 Acrylic complies with ULâÇ™s VW-l flammability requirements under UL File #E53690.
Applications
Varglas A397 and 343 Acrylic Sleevings are used to insulate leads and crossovers in fractional and integral horsepower motors. They also are used in dry and oil-filled transformers, generators and other moisture-sensitive equipment, as well as in home appliances, lighting fixtures, instrument circuits and controls. Additional uses include switchgear, breaker panels, welding equipment and other commercial apparatus subjected to continuous operating temperatures of 155°C, particularly those requiring insulation system compatibility.

Varglas ES-4400 Silicone Rubber Sleeve (R 220° C)
Varglas ES-4400 Silicone Rubber Sleeving is produced by curing a specially compounded silicone gum with a select catalyst on a continuous length of fiberglass braid. Most silicone rubber is characterized, chiefly, by its capability of performing satisfactorily at elevated temperatures. Varglas ES-4400 Silicone Rubber, in addition to providing superior dielectric and thermal protection, at less weight, was developed to meet unusual fluid and flame resistance requirements. Its high temperature performance places it in a 220°C classification.

Varglas ES-4400 Silicone Rubber Sleeving conforms to, and is listed on the Qualified Products List (QPL) for, MIL-l-3190/8, latest revision (Grade A). It also exceeds the requirements of NEMA TF-1, Type 5; and ASTM-D372.

Acrylic Rods - Extruded Plexiglass Rod
Plexiglass Extruded Acrylic Rods are available from Professional Plastics in standard 6 foot lengths (full cases only). These economical plexiglass acrylic rods are excellent for use in POP Displays and other decorative items. They are normally supplied in a paper sleeve to protect during handling, but keep in mind that extruded acrylic rods do not have the optical clarity or machining characteristics of cast acrylic rod. In larger diameter rods (.875" dia and above) these high-quality extruded rods are commonly used as grab bars in showers, tubs and spas. Acrylic is moisture resistant, non-toxic and meets standard building codes for use in these applications.

FEP Roll Covers eliminate sticky build-up problems with rollers used in hot or cold applications. The sleeve can be applied to metal or rubber rollers using simple hot air gun. Down time to machine can be just minutes compared with days sending rollers away for sprayed non-stick coating. Thickness of FEP is normally 0.5mm compared with 0.005mm of a spayed on PTFE coating, and the cost is about the same or even less.

Frac Balls - Fracturing Balls
Exploiting tight gas reservoirs requires the ability to fracture wells according to production requirements. Most require multiple transverse fractures at specific locations within the horizontal well. In order to maximize productivity, the creation of multiple fractures is of critical importance.
One popular method for creating fractures is the use of frac ports & sliding sleeves. Openhole packers isolate different sections of the horizontal well. A sliding sleeve is placed between each packer pair and is opened by injecting a ball inside the borehole. Typically, a compleiton string is placed inside the well. The string include frac ports and open hole packers spaced to specifications. The spacing between packaers may be up to several hundred feet. The packers are actuated by mechanical, hydraulic or chemical mechanisms. In order to activate each sleeve, a properly sized ball is pumped along with a fracturing fluid inside the well. Each ball is smaller than the opening of all of the previous sleeves, but larger than the sleeve it is intended to open. Seating of the ball exerts pressure at the end of the sliding sleeve assembly, causing it to slide and open the frac ports. Once the port is opened, the fluid is diverted into the openhole space outside of the completion assembly, casuing the formation to fracture.
At the completion of each fracturing stage, the next larger ball is injected into the well, which open the next sleeve, and so on, until all of the sleeves are opened and multiple fractures are created in the well. The main advantage of this completion technique is the speed of operation which also reduces costs.
Typically, ball sizes are staged in .500" or .250" increments. It is improtant to understand that this process is not without risk of failure and should only be undertaken after considerable research and consideration.
Frac plugs are designed to seal from above the plug only. Each plug uses a plastic fracturing ball that seals on top of the mandrel. The fracturing ball is free to float off the mandrel with pressure or flow from below the plug. This allows immediate flowback of all zones following treatment.

GEHR HiPro® 30% glass filled homopolymer PP is used in applications found in the chemical processing and wastewater treatment industries were chemical resistance, higher temperature performance and low cost are desired. Repeated handling, cleaning and normal wear and tear of plastic
component parts on food, beverage and pharmaceutical processing
machinery increases the risk of a fragment breaking off and contaminating
the product during processing.
The need for traceable plastics, especially machined parts for filling, sorting
and packaging machinery is critical due to strict FDA regulations regarding
foreign materials and contaminants. Since we introduced our line of Metal

Protect-A-Lamp Fluorescent Light Tube Guards
Clear, unbreakable polycarbonate sleeves for protection against fluorescent lamp breakage by retaining the shattered glass and phosphors.
