OVERVIEW of Xytrel SX1 Aromatic Polyester

Xytrel SX1 is a wholly aromatic polyester material available exclusively from Professional Plastics. This high-performance material is capable of performing as a lower-cost replacement to VespelÂ® SP-1 polyimide in test sockets, nests and kits used for testing integrated circuits. The material also has a lower mositure absorption rate than Torlon PAI. Xytrel SX1 is a stable material that contains no glass and therefore may provide solutions where exposed glass fibers present challenges for pogo pin connections.
