    • FEP tubing (Fluorinated Ethylene Propylene tubing) is made from a melt processable thermoplastic that has end uses similar to PTFE. However, it has several properties PTFE does not have. FEP is one of the clearest plastics available on the market and FEP tubing can be supplied in long, continuous coils. Also, it can be welded and tubes can be sealed by melting. FEP tubing has a continuous working temperature of 400° F (204°C).
    • PFA Tubing
      PFA (PerFluoroAlkoxy) tubing offers similar properties to FEP, but is considered more of a premium resin. PFA is preferred when extended service is required in hostile environments involving chemical, thermal, and mechanical stress. PFA tubing offers high melt strength, stability at high processing temperatures, excellent crack and stress resistance, a low coefficient of friction, and more than 10 times the Flex life of FEP. It has high resistance to creep and retention of properties after service at 500°F (260°C), with useful properties at -320°F (95°C). PFA tubing also meets FDA 21CFR.177.1550.
    • High Density Polyethylene (HDPE) Tubing HDPE tubing is less flexible than LDPE, but has better physical and chemical properties, and withstands sterilization by boiling. It is widely used in transporting air, water and chemicals. It is produced from raw materials which meet FDA requirements. NSF 51/61 also available.

    • LDPE Tubing - Low Density Polyethylene is economical plastic material with good chemical resistance. LDPE provides high impact strength at low temperatures. It also exhibits excellent electrical properties. relieved

      Low Density Polyethylene tubing joins the Linear Low Density version, giving customers a broader selection from which to choose. Low Density Polyethylene (LDPE) tubing is used for air and pneumatic lines, fluid feeds, chemical transfer, wire jacketing, food and beverage processing, potable water systems, drains, pool and spa supply lines, and more.
      We previously offered only the low density style of polyethylene, then switched to linear low density a few years ago due to its enhanced resistance to stress cracking. Although both types provide for repeated flexing with little or no signs or wear, only LDPE tubing is listed by the National Sanitation Foundation (NSF 51), an important consideration in many cases.
      LDPE exhibits a high degree of inertness and forms a good barrier to gases, vapors, and moisture. It provides good dielectric properties and will not impart any taste or odor to fluids running through it. LDPE is manufactured from non-toxic, 100% virgin grade resins with ingredients that conform to FDA standards.
      Durable LDPE is a lightweight tubing and is one of the lower cost plastic materials. Factory stock includes tubing in 1/4", 5/16", 3/8", and 1/2" O.D. sizes in translucent natural color and in 1/4", 3/8", and 1/2" O.D.'s in opaque black. LDPE is considered a flexible yet semi-rigid product and therefore mates well with push-to-connect fittings available in acetal or brass. Custom colors, sizes, and shapes are offered as well.
    • Latex Tubing provides a combination of features including: Elasticity, Sterlization capability, Transluscency, Uniformity of Color & Gripping Power that make it suitable to a broad range of apllications. These applications include medical, dental, exercise, therapy, food, and beverage just to name a few.

      Latex Sensitivity:
      Our latex tubing is extensively leached, washed and surface treated to virtually undetectable protein levels which are 99.9% protein-free. Where latex products are not recommended or are prohibited, we offers a complete line of non-latex tubing manufactured from Thermoplastic Elastomers (TPE) which closely simulates natural rubber latex properties.
    • Clear Vinyl Tubing (aka PVC Vinyl Tubing) Type F5000
      Formulated to comply with FDA requirements. This clear, flexible, lightweight tubing provides full-flow viewing and is ideal for handling beverages and liquids.
    • Construction: Polyvinyl chloride.
    • Durometer: 80 Shore "A".
    • Operating Temperature Range: -20 F to +150 F. (Higher temperatures lower working pressures.)

    • G-10/FR-4 (G10) is a thermosetting industrial laminate consisting of a continuous filament glass cloth material with an epoxy resin binder. It has characteristics of high strength, excellent electrical properties and chemical resistance not only at room temperature but also under humid or moist conditions. G-10/FR4 epoxy laminate tubes are typically rolled over a mandrel to produce custom-wall thicknesses.

    • Viton® Tubing - (aka VITUBE®)
      Known for its resistance to oils and chemicals, this remarkable material retains its good mechanical and chemical resistance properties at extremely high temperatures better than any other known elastomer. Viton is also a standout material in its resistance to weather-related aging and ozone. In fact, samples weathered in direct Florida sunlight showed little or no change in properties or appearance after 13 years of exposure. Viton's fluid resistance far exceeds that of most other synthetic rubbers. It is resistant to hydrocarbons such as benzene, carbon tetrachloride, toluene, and xylene — fluids that normally act as solvents on rubber, disintegrating the material; leading to tubing failure. Engineers looking for exceptional resistance to petroleum-based fuels, oils, lubricants, and mineral acids at elevated temperatures will often turn to Viton, because most other thermoplastics cannot meet the necessary resistance levels.

      Professional Plastics offers a wide size selection of Viton tubing, with two durometers to choose from (75 and 60 Shore A durometers (Type A and Type B), to meet specific application requirements. The 60A durometer compound is specially formulated for use in peristaltic pumps. All VITUBE formulations are produced with 100% DuPont Dow Viton® fluoroelastomers (chemical name: fluorocarbon FKM) and are matte black in color. VITUBE contains no regrind material nor blends of other elastomers. If accidental burning of VITUBE occurs, extreme caution should be taken due to Hydrogen Fluoride and other decomposition products. Avoid inhalation of vapors liberated at service temperatures above 392°F. If your application calls for harder VITUBE, 90A durometer is available — call for details.

    • Polypropylene Tubing
      Durable and heat resistant, this clarity grade polypropylene is ideal for the transfer of hot liquids or gases, or where higher temperatures and pressures are expected. Normally recommended for vacuum systems, it also has excellent resistance to acids and alkalies, but poor resistance to aromatic, aliphatic and chlorinated solvents. Manufactured from raw materials meeting FDA requirements. NSF-51/61 is also available.

    • Cast Acrylic is highly regarded for its optical clarity and outstanding light transmission properties. These Cast Acrylic Tubes are used in many applications in place of extruded or molded Acrylic because of better machining properties, greater clarity, better resistance to heat distortion and higher tensile strength.
    • PEEK Tubing is available from Professional Plastics offers a variety of sizes. PEEK Tubing Products include Extruded Large Bore Tubing (aka hollow rod), Small Diameter Capillary Tubing, and Large Compression-Molded Tubes. Wall thicknesses vary as does the color, from a light amber when produced as a thin wall tube to a dark tan if manufactured with a heavier wall. Extruded tubes are typically produced in 8 foot (96" lengths) or 1 meter (39.4" lengths)

      Extruded PEEK Tubing has a maximum service temperature of 500°F (260°C) and offers excellent abrasion and wear resistance. PEEK tubes are also USP Class VI compliant, have excellent chemical resistance and are radiation resistant. Add these characteristics to the fact that PEEK tubes offer a superior strength to weight ratio and it becomes apparent why this product has continued to grow in demand over the last few years.

    • Nylon Tubing - Flexible & Semi-Flexible
      Nylon 6, 6/6, 11, 12 tubing is used in applications requiring good abrasion resistance, stiffness and strength at high temperatures. Manufactured from engineering resin, its applications include hydraulic hoses, robotics, and vacuum, fuel, vapor, air and brake lines. Nylon 11 and 12 may be used in situations warranting flexibility. Our Nylon 6, 6/6 tubing meets FDA requirements. Clear Nylon and Metric Sizes also available.

    • PEEK capillary tubing is designed specifically for the demands of high pressure chromatography (HPLC). More corrosion resistant than stainless steel, PEEK is strong enough to take the pressure of 5,000 psi. PEEK has nearly the heat reisstance and chemical resistance of PTFE, but it is also structurally strong and abrasion resistant. It does not leach, and it is unaffected by continuous exposure to steam.

    • Tefzel ® ETFE Tubing (extruded) and Tefzel ETFE Tubes (molded) provide both corrosion resistance and mechanical strength over a wide temperature range. The fluoroplastic family offers plastics with high chemical resistance, low and high temperature capability, resistance to weathering, low friction, electrical and thermal insulation. Tefzel is a preferred material for HPLC applications
      Tefzel Tubing & Tubes are produced in the following forms:

    • Bev-A-Line IV & V HT® - Clear and Flexible High Purity Process Tubing is lightweight, high clarity, and transparent. It provides higher-pressure and vacuum capabilities than other products on the market. Bev-A-Line IV & V HT is coextruded to combine the benefits of two tubes in one seamless product. Bev-A-Line meets FDA, USDA, National Formulary and USP standards for food, beverage, pharmaceutical, laboratory and medical device usage.
    • XX is Black (it has a Hytrel liner).
    • IV is Natural Clear Flexible coextruded tubing
    • VHT is Natural (similar to IV but designed to compete with Tygon Vendflow E 70 V CE.
    • PharMed® BPT Tubing is less permeable to gases and vapors than silicone tubing. It is ideal for cell culture, fermentation, synthesis, separation, purification and process monitoring and control. Independent tests show that PharMed® 65 Tubing is safe for use in sensitive cell culture applications.

      PharMed® BPT Tubing has very good general chemical resistance and excellent acid, alkali and oxidation resistance. Opaque to visible and UV light, it helps protect sensitive fluids. Continuous service temperature range is -60°F (-51°C) to 275°F (135°C).
    • Square acrylic tubes are available from Professional Plastics. These extruded plexiglass acrylic tubes are available in 8 standard sizes. Square tubes are sold in standard 6 foot lengths and sold in full cases only. See sizes and case quantities below.

    • CHEMFLUOR® FEP Tubing is a fluoropolymer with excellent physical and chemical properties. It can withstand low cryogenic temperatures, and has low porosity and low permeation. Chemically inert at extreme temperatures, Chemfluor® FEP can operate in temperatures ranging from -100°F to 400°F. The material's transparency and weatherability make it ideal for use in sight gauges, especially when used with harsh chemicals.

    • CPVC Hollow Bar - Tube is available in several sizes from Professional Plastics. CPVC shares most of the features and properties of its close relative, PVC. It is also readily workable, including machining, welding, and forming. Because of its excellent corrosion resistance at elevated temperatures, CPVC is ideally suited for self-supporting constructions where temperatures up to 200°F (93°C) are present. The ability to bend, shape, and weld CPVC enables its use in a wide variety of process applications including tanks, scrubbers, and ventilation systems. It exhibits excellent fire resistance, chemical resistance, and is readily available in sheets, rods, and tubing.
