    • Platinum Cured Medical Grade Silicone Tubing - SILCON® MED-X Tubing
      SILCON MED-X tubing is made under strict accordance with Good Manufacturing Procedures and conforms to the biocompatibility requirements of USP Class VI. SILCON MED-X's surface properties resist sticking and encrustation, and it will not support bacteria growth. The tubing is soft, pliable, and contains no plasticizers which could leach out, causing flow contamination or tube hardening. Other sizes and 50A durometer material are also available.     • SILCON MED-X is NOT recommended for implantable or in-body uses or for continuous steam applications.
      Care is recommended in the selection and application of fittings and clamps as sharp barbed fittings or unlined metal clamps could tear into the wall.
    • If exposed to repeated steam sterilization or long-term high temperature or pressure, silicone will eventually relax and become gummy. It should then be replaced.

      Characteristics:
      From open heart surgery to dialysis, ND 100-65 tubing has been specially formulated for medical device manufacturers that require a non-DEHP plasticized material. ND 100-65 sets the new standard for performance and durability in blood contact applications. Based upon a unique chemistry developed by Saint-Gobain, TYGON ND Series tubing was formulated to be Registration, Evaluation, Authorization and restriction of CHemical substances (REACH) compliant for DEHP. To ensure compliance, every individual compound lot is tested to ensure DEHP levels are <1000 ppm. During the extrusion process, individual product dimensions are maintained and monitored through in-line micrometers and off-line verification with computerized imaging equipment.

      Consistent with many medical tubing requirements, ND-100-65 material can be effectively bonded/welded using the following methods: heat, electronic (RF)/ultrasonic, solvent and adhesive. Factors to be considered when selecting the components include: security of the bond required, effect on the integrity of the materials to be joined and presence of residues or extractables that may affect biocompatibility. When bonding procedures are not used, mechanical clamps are recommended to provide secure attachment.

      Biocompatibility
      TYGON ND 100-65 is made from a biocompatible non-DEHP polymer material developed specifically for blood contact medical device needs. It meets USP Class VI, ISO 10993, European Pharmacopoeia 3.1.1.2 and European REACH requirements. It is also non-hemolytic and non-pyrogenic.

      The new capability in colored stock shapes for machining overcomes the historical two to three months' lead time and high minimum order volume requirements due to resin and shapes production limitations. All of the new Acetron® GP colors meet the requirements of FDA Regulation 21 CFR, Section 177.2470 (e)(1),(2).
      The colors are ideal where change-out parts need to be quickly and easily identified for use on specific processes.

      Densetec HDPE - Borated Sheet (5% Borated - Green Color)
      Densetec Borated Sheet is a product specially designed for nuclear shielding applications. The material employs 5% Boron by weight to shield neutrons in a variety of applications including high intensity X-rays, cancer treatment facilities, nuclear submarines, and nuclear power plants.

      Borotron® HD050 (5% Borated - Green Color)
      Borotron® HD050 is based on Quadrant's high performance HDPE with 5% elemental boron. Borotron® has been used as a medical and industrial shielding material to attenuate and absorb neutron radiation. This easily fabricated polymer material also offers designers greater durability and function over a wider range of temperatures than traditional materials.

      King Plasti-Shield® Borated Polyethylene (5% Borated Purple Color)
      King Plasti-Shield® has been used as medical and industrial neutron shielding for more than 25 years. It is a light-weight, cost-effective and easily fabricated solution for a wide variety of neutron-shielding needs. Compared to paraffin-based products, King Plasti-Shield sheets are durable and perform well in a wider range of temperatures.
      King Plasti-Shield® is offered in three grades:
    • Industrial Grade (PURPLE COLOR, 5%* Boron by Weight) W is effective in medical and other applications requiring attenuation of thermal neutrons.
    • Grade III (RED COLOR, 2%* Boron by Weight) W
    • Grade II (YELLOW COLOR, 1%* Boron by Weight) W - Virgin Polyethylene (natural color)
      Grade II (yellow, 1% boron) and Grade III (red, 2% boron) are used as neutron shielding in the construction and repair of US Navy ships. These products are manufactured to MIL-P-23536, Rev. A. Certification and testing is available to meet MIL-Spec. requirements
    • Duratron U1000 PEI is an amorphous polymer offering high strength and excellent flame and heat resistance. It performs continuously to 340°F (170°C), making it ideal for high strength/ high heat applications, and those requiring consistent dielectric properties over a wide frequency range. It is hydrolysis resistant, highly resistant to acidic solutions and capable of withstanding repeated autoclaving cycles.

      Duratron U2100, U2200 and U2300 PEI are glass-reinforced versions (10, 20, and 30%, respectively) of Duratron U1000 PEI which provide even greater rigidity and improved dimensional stability while maintaining many of the useful characteristics of basic Duratron U1000 PEI. Duratron PEI is FDA and USP Class VI compliant. FDA compliant colors of Duratron PEI are also available on a custom basis.

      Duratron PEI commonly is machined into parts for reusable medical devices, analytical instrumentation, electrical/electronic insulators (including many semiconductor process components) and a variety of structural components requiring high strength and rigidity at elevated temperatures. Quadrant offers Duratron U1000 PEI and Duratron U2300 PEI as standard products.
    • HyPUR-cel® is a unique family of medium to high density open-celled polyurethane foams engineered into three formulations to meet your application needs. Rubberlite HyPUR-cel® line of open-celled polyurethane foams is offered in the largest variety of densities and thicknesses.

      Whether you need products from our H-series of high resiliency, high rebound products, our S-series foams which offer exceptional elongation and thermal formability, or our cost effective T-series of thermal formable foams, each designed to offer excellent internal strength and low compression set properties.

    • Ketron ® PEEK-CA30 LSG PolyEtherEtherKetone stock shapes are produced from genuine Victrex ® PEEK polymer. This 30% carbon fiber-reinforced grade combines even higher stiffness, mechanical strength and creep resistance than Ketron ® PEEK-GF30 LSG blue with an optimum wear resistance.

      Ketron PEEK-CA30 LSG stock shapes have been successfully type tested for their compliance with both United States Pharmacopeia (USP) and ISO 10993-1 guideline requirements for Biocompatibility Testing of Materials, and they come with full traceability from resin to stock shape. These features, added to an excellent sterilizability by means of steam, dry heat, ethylene oxide, plasma and gamma irradiation, make KETRON PEEK-CA30 LSG stock shapes very suitable for applications in the medical, pharmaceutical and biotechnology markets.

      Ketron PEEK-CA30 LSG is available in sheet and rod forms in black color only.
