    • Clear Extruded Acrylic Tubes (aka Plexiglass tubes) are sold in standard 6 ft lengths. Minimum order quantities may apply on certian sizes. Extruded Acrylic material does not machine and polish as well as cast because of its lower-heat distortion point. It is ideal for reinforcing and decorative work.
    • Nylon® MD (extruded type 6/6) is a nylon and molybdenum disulfide (MoS2) composition designed to improve the mechanical, thermal and bearing properties to type 6/6 nylon while maintaining its basic electrical and chemical characteristics.
Through compounding, finely divided particles impart extra lubricity to this nylon, permitting Nylon MD parts to operate with little or no lubrication. This makes it especially suited to applications where external lubrication is impractical, contaminating or difficult to maintain. The added lubricity also contributes dramatically to component service life, making Nylon MD a very cost-efficient choice.
Nylon MD provides non-galling and non-scratching characteristics, sound dampening qualities, insulating properties, resistance to oils, greases, most alkalies, solvents, and organic acids
    • For very large and complex shapes, consider Cast Nylon MD (type 6).
    • Plexiglass (Plexglass Sheet) Extruded Acrylic Sheet is a glazing, signage, window or display material that is strong, moisture resistant & is more clear than glass. Plexiglass acrylic sheets can also be heat-formed without loss of optical clarity. Plexiglass sheets are economical, impact-resistant and can be precision-cut to size. If you need plexiglass, don't go to Home Depot or Lowes, call a "Professional".

Not sure which plexiglass color to choose ?
Plexiglass image on right of page will change when you have selected a Color, Size and Tolerance
    • Note: Not all colors are available in all thicknesses. (.125" & .250" are most common for colors)

Translucent, Transparent or Opaque Colored Plexiglass ? - Which do you want ? - See Color Chart
    • Translucent Plexiglass = Light & Shadows can be seen through Sheet.
    • Transparent Plexiglass = Images can be viewed through sheet (like tinted glass)
    • Opaque Plexiglass = Neither light nor images can be seen through the sheet.

"Plexiglass" is often used as a generic term for acrylic. Spelled as Plexiglas® (one S) it's the Arkema brand name. Spelled as "plexiglass" (two SS's), it's generic acrylic. We offer; Acrylite® FF, & Lucite® CP brands. Professional Plastics offers precision cut-to-size plexiglass delivered direct to your door. • PVDF (aka Kynar®, Solef®, Symalit®) is one of the most stable and pure of all commercial plastics. This highly chemically resistant fluoropolymer is used in piping, tubing, vessel fabrication, molded valves and fittings, tower packing, nozzles and other items for corrosive fluid handling. Its inherent chemical resistance and high purity make PVDF ideal for application in contact with high purity water, acids, chlorine, halogenated solvents and petrochemical mixtures. The natural flame retardancy and flexibility of PVDF leads to many uses in the jacketing of fiber optic cables, fiber optic raceways and copper cable used in plenum areas of buildings. PVDF is FDA compliant, absolutely non-toxic and can be used in repeated contact with food products. Its surface, like glass, is unfavorable to the proliferation of microorganisms.

    • Plexiglass Extruded Acrylic Rods are available from Professional Plastics in standard 6 foot lengths (full cases only). These economical plexiglass acrylic rods are excellent for use in POP Displays and other decorative items. They are normally supplied in a paper sleeve to protect during handling, but keep in mind that extruded acrylic rods do not have the optical clarity or machining characteristics of cast acrylic rod. • PEEK Tubing is available from Professional Plastics offers a variety of sizes. PEEK Tubing Products include Extruded Large Bore Tubing (aka hollow rod), Small Diameter Capillary Tubing, and Large Compression-Molded Tubes. Wall thicknesses vary as does the color, from a light amber when produced as a thin wall tube to a dark tan if manufactured with a heavier wall. Extruded tubes are typically produced in 8 foot (96" lengths) or 1 meter (39.4" lengths)

Extruded PEEK Tubing has a maximum service temperature of 500°F (260°C) and offers excellent abrasion and wear resistance. PEEK tubes are also USP Class VI compliant, have excellent chemical resistance and are radiation resistant. Add these characteristics to the fact that PEEK tubes offer a superior strength to weight ratio and it becomes apparent why this product has continued to grow in demand over the last few years.

    • Turbo™ 117E - Silicone Rubber Extruded Fiberglass Sleeving
    • Thermal Class: 200 ° C
    • NEMA: TF-1, TYPE 5
    • MIL-I-3190/6, MIL-P-18057 (grade A)
    • UL FILE: E123956 (grade A)
TURBO™ 117E is comprised of specially formulated high temperature silicone rubber extruded onto premium electrical grade braided fiberglass sleeving. The extrusion process results in a higher density coating that is more homogeneous, has better concentricity and yields longer continuous lengths than the typical liquid dipped products common to the industry.

      Recomended Use
TURBO™117E is used for insulation of leads and connections in electrical and electronic components ( transformers, coils, relays, solenoids etc.) where temperature extremes from -70°C through 200°C are encountered. Silicone rubber coated glass sleeving is the only flexible insulating material which remains useful for continuous service in ambient temperatures from -70°C through +200°C.

      Physical Properties
    • Thermal:
TURBO™ 117E is rated Class H by IEEE standards, acceptable for continuous service from -70°C through 200°C. Operation at temperatures up to 315°C is tolerated for short durations. TURBOT'" 117Eexceeds all requirements of UL Subject 224 for 200°C, 600-volt operation. It also exceeds the requirements of MIL-I-3190, MILP-18057, and ASTM D372.
    • Environmental:
TURBO™ 117E is resistant to moisture, corona, ozone, radiation, compression set, fungus, most chemicals and solvents, weathering, flexure fatigue and heat degradation.
    • Flammability:
TURBO™ 117E burns slowly. The coating maintains its electrical integrity - even undersevere fire conditions- by forming a non-conductive ash.
