      High Temperature Honeycomb Panels are manufactured to resist tooling temperatures up to 425°F/218°C. This Honeycomb panel is fabricated with fiberglass skins and high-temperature resins. A perforated, corrosion-resistant core and 2 plies of 10-ounce fiberglass cloth provide strength and stability. This material is bonded under pressure for greater peel strength. Peel ply is applied for good bonding surface, and the panel is staged post cured to 425°F/218°C.

      Applications: High Temperature Honeycomb serves as an effective back-up structure for large and small high temperature tooling applications.

      GlasArmor panels are constructed from multiple layers of woven fiberglass, encapsulated with a proprietary resin system by the pultrusion process, which produces a rigid panel with exceptional ballistic resistance. The unique composite matrix of the panels allow for retention of the projectile to avoid potentially hazardous ricochet. These FRP panels offer ballistic resistant security with the additional performance advantages of durability, corrosion resistance, electrical non-conductivity, low thermal conductivity and light weight.

      Utilized for both indoor and outdoor applications, panels can be easily incorporated into standard building design to provide undetectable ballistic protection. Panels can be field-fabricated utilizing simple installation methods and common carpentry tools. Surface finish is smooth in a white color with custom colors available in production quantities. Panels can be primed and painted or covered by gypsum board or other materials to match specific requirements.

      Panels are available with a nominal thickness of 1/4", 3/8" and 1/2" for protection to UL752 levels 1, 2 & 3 and NIJ Levels I, II & IIIA test standards for ballistic resistance. Additional protection against higher power ammunitions to UL 752 Level 4 for .30 caliber rifles and Level 8 for 7.62mm rifles are achieved by layering multiple GlasArmor panels. This also permits offsetting of panel joints and easier handling for installation when the use of thicker, heavier panels for greater protection is required.

      GlasGuard Grade 1130 is a fiberglass-reinforced thermoset polyester composite system which is available as sheet stock or in a variety of pultruded shapes. The 1130 system exhibits a unique combination of properties which make it attractive for a variety of applications. Grade 1130 possesses: Flame Resistance, Corrosion Resistance, Weatherability, & Dielectric Properties

      This system is formulated from a special methyl methacrylate modified neopentyl glycol-isophthalic acid unsaturated polyester resin. This type of resin has long been known for outstanding resistance to color fading caused by sunlight and for resistance to surface erosion caused by weathering. This family of resins is also recognized for its performance in corrosive environments, including acids, bases and aliphatic hydrocarbons. The mineral filler used in the 1130 system has been selected to provide a flame resistance rating of V-O when tested according to the Underwriters Laboratories, Inc. Section 94. It also meets the National Electrical Manufacturers Association criteria for grade GPO-3.

      Grade 1130 was developed to meet the challenging requirements of the New York City Transit Authority. It has been pultruded into channel-shaped covers for the electrified third rail; and molded in flat panels for both a sign material and for switchgear components. Grade 1130 is approved against NYCTA Specifications 62, 64 and 65.

      Low Smoke and Low Smoke Toxicity Glastic Grade 1130 materials are especially recommended for use in the transit industry, where smoke generation and smoke toxicity are of primary concern. First designed for use in switchgear, connectors and control panels in enclosed areas, these materials are also now widely used in structural applications. Grade 1130 materials meet or exceed the stringent requirements for (polyester), as well as MIL-P-15037E (melamine).
