FEATURES AND BENEFITS of ACRIFIX® cements |
ACRIFIX® Cement Types:
ACRIFIX® 1S 0116 (100 gram tube) is a thickened solvent acrylic cement that is also free of dichloromethane just like ACRIFIX® 1S 0117. It is suitable for channel lettering where cement needs to stay in place while drying, as well as many other versatile applications. Due to the nature of solvent cements, thickened solvent is not gap filling.
ACRIFIX® 1S 0117 (4 oz, 32 oz, 1 gallon) is a solvent acrylic cement that is free of dichloromethane (methylen chloride). This solvent cement was developed utilizing a patented formula to provide an alternative to cements containing dichloromethane. ACRIFIX® 1S 0117 does not cause crazing or blushing (whitening) when used as recommended under normal conditions. Also, the bonds produced from ACRIFIX® 1S 0117 solvent cement are strong and clear. With superior capillary ACRIFIX® 1S 0117 flows better and less bubbles form compared tp traditional dichloromethane based cements. In a side by side comparision shows even in humid condition ACRIFIX® 1S 0117 dries with better optical quality.
ACRIFIX® 2R 0190 is a syrupy, two-component reactive cement. It is most versatile which can be used in virtually every acrylic bonding application and that's why we call it ôthe mother of all cement". It offers the best bonding quality (strength and optical quality) for bonding acrylic (PMMA) to itself and to other substrates. The joint cures in an invisible water clear. It is UV stabilized so there is no yellowing. It offers a superior weatherability than other products in the market. Meets Mil Spec A-8576 Type III, Component A.
