    • Translucent Plexiglass = Light & Shadows can be seen through Sheet.
    • Transparent Plexiglass = Images can be viewed through sheet (like tinted glass)
    • Opaque Plexiglass = Neither light nor images can be seen through the sheet.
    • ABS - Machine Grade ABS - Engineering Grade Sheets & Rods. ABS has perhaps the best balance of properties when cost is a factor. It has good chemical & stress-resistance, as well as, a combination of toughness with rigidity & creep resistance.

      Engineering Grade ABS is available in Rods & Sheets to customer specifications:
      ABS Rods are produced up to 6" diameter in standard 8 foot lengths (Prices Listed Per Foot).

      ABS Sheets / Plates are available in two types - Compression-Molded or Extruded:
    • Compression Molded Sheets are available up to 4" thick in 48" x 96"
    • Standard Thickness Tolerance of Compression-Molded Sheets is +/-10%.
      - PLUS ONLY Compression-Molded Sheets are available upon request at an additional cost.
    • Extruded Sheets are produced up to 24" x 48", and are sold upon special request only.
      - Note: Extruded Sheets have a better thickness tolerance than molded sheets. (also more expensive)
    • ABS Sheet (General Purpose ABS Sheets) is offered by Professional Plastics in a wide range colors & grades. Sheets are produced in monolayer and co-extruded multilayer. Stocked in Standard Black and White with Hair Cell Finish on 1 Side. Custom colors also available. Custom formulations can be combined to provide performance an cost saving options such as Virgin Cap + Utility Base, Low Gloss (matte) Cap + Utility Base, and Custom Color Cap + Utility Base.

    • General Purpose Forming Grade ABS Sheet is Durable and Easily Vacuum-Formed
    • Acetal Sheets and Acetal Rods (aka POM) acetal copolymer provides high strength and stiffness coupled with enhanced dimensional stability and ease of machining. As a semi-crystalline material, acetal is also characterized by a low coefficient of friction and good wear properties especially in wet environments. Because of its high strength, modulus, and resistance to impact and fatigue, Acetal is used as a weight-saving metal replacement. Acetal copolymer overcomes the common problem of centerline porosity in large shapes of Acetal Homopolymer (aka Delrin)
      • Acetal Copolymer is preferred to Delrin® (Acetal Homopolymer) where centerline porosity is a concern.
      • Acetal Copolymer is produced under several brand names including Celcon®, Ultraform® & Acetron®.
    • Cast acrylic rods offer excellent clarify & machining charaterics when compared to extruded rods. This material offers good chemical-resistance & is FDA approved for food contact.
      Acrylic offers high light transmittance and can be easily heat-formed without loss of optical clarity. Prolonged exposure to moisture, or even total immersion in water, does not significantly effect the mechanical or optical properties of this outstanding economical and multi-purpose material.

    • ACRYLITE® AR acrylic sheet, continuously manufactured sheet, offers excellent optical clarity and high impact strength with abrasion and chemical resistant properties. It resists marring and scratching from everyday public contact, daily cleanings, and airborne dirt and dust. It is useful for numerous applications, including P-O-P displays, store fixtures, menu boards, flat panel display monitors, signs & directories, LCD screens, and framing.
      ACRYLITE® AR P-99 sheet combines abrasion and chemical resistance with non-glare properties for easy viewing. It is ideal for picture framing and sign applications.
      ACRYLITE® Abrasion Resistant, Optical Grade acrylic sheet is continuously manufactured acrylic sheet offering outstanding optical performance. Its high optical quality, light weight and excellent impact strength make it the preferred material for LCD's, PDA's, projection television screens and multimedia displays.
      ACRYLITE® Non-Glare, Abrasion Resistant, Optical Grade acrylic sheet minimizes glare with a matte finish and resists scratching with an abrasion resistant coating. Used exclusively in the optoelectronics market.
    • CPVC shares most of the features and properties of its close relative, PVC. It is also readily workable, including machining, welding, and forming. Because of its excellent corrosion resistance at elevated temperatures, CPVC is ideally suited for self-supporting constructions where temperatures up to 200°F (93°C) are present. The ability to bend, shape, and weld CPVC enables its use in a wide variety of process applications including tanks, scrubbers, and ventilation systems. It exhibits excellent fire resistance, chemical resistance, and is readily available in sheets, rods, and tubing.

    • DELRIN® Sheets and Delrin Rods have many of the same characteristics of industrial metals such as brass, aluminum, zinc, and stainless steel. Delrin is a homopolymer acetal (POM). Some of Delrin's comparable properties include stiffness, dimensional stability, impact resistance, and structural strength. Delrin® 150 is standard general purpose, unfilled acetal. This grade has the best impact toughness of all unfilled Delrin products. Delrin® 150 SA was discontinued in 2003 & replaced by Delrin 150.

    • FEP Rods & Sheets
      FEP is a relatively soft thermoplastic with lower tensile strength, wear resistance, and creep resistance than many other engineering plastics. However, FEP is chemically inert and has a low dielectric constant over a wide frequency range. FEP possesses a very high degree of stress crack resistance, a low coefficient of friction, exceptional dielectric properties, heat resistance, retention of properties after service at 400°F (204°C) with useful properties at -454°F (-270°C), and meets FDA 21CFR.177.1550. FEP has high transparency (with good transmittance of UltraViolet and visible wavelengths.) FEP offers the lowest refractive index of all thermoplastics with low light reflection (the same as water.)
    • FEP stands for Fluorinated Ethylene Propylene.
    • Fish Paper (aka Fishpaper - Vulcanized Fibre) is a strong paperboard insulation used primarily for its excellent electrical insulating properties. Fish paper is a vulcanized fiber and is very flexible. Used frequently for electrical insulation, fishpaper is commonly die cut and machined. Fishpaper is extremly durable and is available both in sheet stock and custom parts.

      Vulcanized Fibre is made between .0078" and .375" thick. It is made in several colors, and several grades. The most common grade is Standard Electrical Grade which is commonly referred to as Fishpaper.
    • Standard Electrical Grade Vulcanized Fibre (aka Fish Paper - Fishpaper): is made only in thinner gauges, typically from .0078" to .062" thick. It has very good electrical insulating properties, and is more flexible with good forming capabilities for applications such as slot wedge insulation.
    • Standard Color is Grey

      Vulcanized Fibre (Fishpaper) is sold under various tradenames including; Peerless, Vulcanex, Forbon, and Armite.
    • FRP Panels (fiberglass reinforced plastic) FRP wall and celiling panels are available from Professional Plastics. We are a distributor of Sequentia brand FRP & can cross-reference other brands if necessary (click here to view FRP Cross Reference Chart) Structoglas FRP, is an easy-to-clean wall and ceiling panel made of fiberglass reinforced plastic. Structoglas will not rot, corrode, stain, dent, peel, or splinter in the toughest conditions. Structoglas panels install as easily as common wall board on solid substrates. Structoglas is available in different colors and finishes, and can be cut and drilled for easy installation. Accessories such as moldings and rivets are also available to complete the installation.

      - Many building codes require that interior finish products meet a Class A, B, or C fire rating. This is defined by flame spread and smoke development and the test results determine how the product is rated. The lower the flame spread and smoke development, the higher the rating. Structoglas FRFR (Class A fire rating) is accepted by all major building codes for use where fire ratings require a Class A rating - per the ASTM E-84 test method.

      Structoply is fabricated by laminating a Structoglas frp panel to a rigid substrate, such as oriented strand board (OSB), plywood, or fluted polypropylene. The resulting Structoply panel has structural strength and rigidity, allowing fast and easy installation directly to studs on the wall or ceiling. Structoply is used in a wide variety of applications where durability and ease of installation are a must.

    • G-10/FR-4 is a thermosetting industrial laminate consisting of a continuous filament glass cloth material with an epoxy resin binder. It has characteristics of high strength, excellent electrical properties and chemical resistance not only at room temperature but also under humid or moist conditions.
    • G-10/FR-4 glass epoxy laminate meets the specifications of Mil-I-24768/27
    • G-10 & FR-4 also meet LP 509 & MIL P 18177 Type GEE
    • Maximum Continuous Operating Temperature: 285°F
    • Commonly referred to as Micarta, Bakelite and more.
    • GPO-3 laminate performs well in electrical applications that require high arc and carbon track resistance as well as flame resistance, physical strength, and moderate heat resistance. GPO-3 laminate is used extensively in the making of phase and end barriers, insulating supports, bus bar supports and mounting panels in switchgear and other types of electrical apparatus. GPO-3 is a UL recognized product with a temperature index of 120 degrees celsius electrical and 140 degrees celsius mechanical, and is molded in thicknesses of 1/32" to 2".
      GPO-3 is produced in Standard Color RED, or specialty colors Black, and White. and is molded in thicknesses of 1/32" to 2".
      H900 is the standard GPO-3 Grade supplied by Professional Plastics (see attached data sheet for details on various grades)
      GPO-3 is also sold by Professional Plastics in a variety of profiles including angles, and channels.

    • Gravoply 2 Engraving Stock
      The micro thin .001" foil cap of Gravoply 2 allows for very fine detailed engraving. While this is perfect for small text and/or intricate logos required of many indoor applications, the thicker cap of Gravoply 1 may be better for many industrial applications where long-term cap durability may be put to the test.

This "None Tougher" laminate line offers multiple levels of protection ranging from certified containment glazing to Level 3 bullet-resistant material.       Hygard® Ballistic Glazing Grades:
    • Hygard® BR750 ballistic grade sheet is a 0.750", 3-ply polycarbonate and acrylic laminate that meets the UL 752 Level 1 rating for 9 mm ballistic attack.
    • Hygard® BR1000 ballistic grade sheet is a 1.000", 4-ply polycarbonate laminate that meets the UL 752 Level 2 rating for .357 Magnum ballistic attack and HP White TP 0500 Level lV.
    • Hygard® BR1250 ballistic grade sheet is a 1.250", 4-ply polycarbonate laminate that meets UL 752 Level 3 rating for .44 Magnum ballistic attack, HP White TP 0500 Level lV, and ASTM F 1233 Class 5.
    • Hygard® MS1250 ballistic grade sheet is a 1.250", 4-ply acrylic and polycarbonate laminate that meets UL 752 Level 6 rating for high speed multi-shot 9 mm (Uzi) ballistic attack.
    • MC 901 (Nylatron MC901) Heat stabilized nylon offering long-term thermal stability to 260ºF. It is blue in color and used in a variety of bearing and structural applications such as wheels, gears, and custom parts.

      MC 901 has a better impact strength and fatigue resistance compared with other cast nylons in the range. It has proved an outstanding material for large gears, racks & pinions, successfully replacing phosphororous bronze and cast iron in many applications.

      Proven Applications:
      Port Cap - MC® 901 is custom cast to size saving fabrication time and money in a port cap and diffuser nozzle application. It also weighs only 1/7 the former parts making parts easier to handle and install. (Prior material: Stainless Steel)
    • Meldin® 7001 Unfilled Polyimide Parts and Shapes. Meldin 7001 Rods & Plates offer superior mechanical properties & high chemical resistance. Meldin is ideal for electrical and thermal insulating applications. More ductile than ceramics, and lighter weight than metals, Meldin® 7001 is an excellent choice for structural parts in aerospace and other applications where metal replacement is desirable. In Semiconductor Wafer Processing applications, the plasma etch rate of Meldin® 7001 is 10% to 20% lower than Vespel® SP-1 providing superior performance over time. (contact us for complete details). For IC Test Sockets & Probe Test Heads, Meldin® 7001 is also an excellent replacement for Vespel® SP-1. Meldin 7000 products feature Continuous Operational Temperatures up to 550ºF (260ºC) and Intermitting Operation up to 900ºF , while holding tight tolerances of ±0.001 in. on both ODs and IDs. Meldin 7001 is suitable for high-temperature structural, high-purity semiconductor, & plasma welding applications.

      Mylar® A (Frosted, Milky White Translucent) (aka Electrical Grade Mylar) polyester film is a flexible strong and durable film with an unusual balance of properties. It is a translucent film. Because it contains no plasticizers it does not become brittle with age under normal conditions.
    • Applications: It is used for release applications, office supplies, electrical insulation and industrial laminations with other flexible materials.
