Statik-Gard™ w/MICA is produced as an electrostatic dissipative laminate or in Thick solid Phenolic Core counter top material designed for use in the manufacture and assembly of static-sensitive electronic components. Statik-Gard offers the user a static safe work surface while providing the performance of an HPL decorative surface.
ESD, or Electro Static Discharge, is the term used to describe the sensitivity of electronic components to static electrical charges. Many of these components such as some types of LED's, computer chips, circuit boards, etc. can be damaged beyond repair by an electrical discharge as low as 20 volts.
Whether using laminate thickness (0.7; 0.9; 1.3 or 1.5 MM) for retrofitting or solid phenolic core panels (UP TO 1" THICK) for complete upgrade, Statik-Gard provides quick, efficient upgrading of existing bench tops to static-safe work areas. Both products resist hot solder and most solvents, and exceeds NEMA standards for wear resistance. Static control properties will continue for the lifetime of the material. The patented, conductive mica layer provides superior charge dissipation and zero voltage suppression.
Minimum Order: 2 pallets - each pallet must contain 8" of material thickness.

Continuous ESd Countertop Material
Statik-Gard performance properties and benefits:
Low electrical resistance. Surface to ground less than 3 x 108 ohms.
Absolute charge drainage and zero voltage suppression. Statik-Gard exhibits no voltage suppression and dissipates a 5,000 volt static charge to zero in less than 0.01 second per FTM-101lC at 5 to 95 percent relative humidity.
Statik-Gard laminate is post formable within 1/2" to 3/4" or larger radius depending on humidity and equipment available.
Statik-Gard is produced up to 25 mm (1") thickness in a solid brown or black phenolic core.
Resistant to most common solvents, hot solder and fluxes.
Temperature resistant to 350 degree F with no change per NEMA Std. 3.6.
Statik-Gard is guaranteed to maintain its static control properties.
Features superior abrasion resistance.
Sheet material or fabricated panels are compatible with continuous monitors, have a resistance-to-ground of 106 - 107 ohms, and meet ANSI/ESD S20.20 and EIA-625 while exceeding the requirements of MIL-B-81705C, Type II.
Available Sheet Sizes: 30", 36", 48" or 60" wide x 96", 120" or 144" long. Surface Colors available: Powder Blue, White, Almond, Light Gray, Beige, and Black, etc., with either black or brown phenolic core.
