Polyurethane Tubing - Ether 86A & Ester 85A (also sold under the brand name Superthane®)
Polyurethane tubing is available in ether and ester, both with optimum abrasion resistance, high tensile strength and low-temperature flexibility. Neither contain plasticizers, so migration is not a problem.
Ether (86A) is resistant to hydrolysis, fungus and weathering.
Ester (85A) types give maximum abrasion resistance and good oil, solvent and grease resistance. Both grades (Ether & Ester) meet FDA requirements.
For best results, use sleeved compression fittings with all thermoplastic tubing.
