Professional Plastics offers a full range of EcoGehr biodegradable, environmentally-firendly plastic shapes from gehr Plastics. GEHR Plastics presented the world's first extruded rods made from ECOGEHR® PLA-L, i.e. a Bio-Polymer based on renewable raw materials, at the 2007 K-Show in Düsseldorf, Germany.
On 3rd December 2008, the Bioplastics Awards 2008 were given for third time at the Bioplastics Conference in Munich. The prize for Best Bioplastics Processor went to GEHR for its semi-finished products from the ECOGEHR® range. The judges were particularly impressed by the innovative performance of GEHR as the first manufacturer of extruded semi-finished products made from bio-plastics, which opens up whole new areas of use for the materials. Particular emphasis was given to the fact that a whole range of bioplastics products is available in the shape of ECOGEHR®, thus enabling customers' varying requirements to be addressed depending on the particular application.
